Buckhurst Hill Lacrosse Club returned to winning ways by beating Epsom 13-7.
Bucks started the game quickly with Seamus O’Monaghan sharply finishing a flowing attacking move before the returning Chris Mitchell added a couple.
They extended the lead after the interval, with Mitchell completing a first half hat-trick and Albert Whitehead, Alex Castle and Dom Newlyn scoring to lead 8-4.
The energy of the first half was replaced by lethargy in the second half and Epsom moved within two points heading into the final quarter.
This shocked Bucks into life, however, and a number of quick goals, including a brilliant combination between O’Monaghan and Dave Williams, sealed the win.
Captains Whitehead and Stowe said: “We were really pleased with the way players stepped up today, we had a number of absentees but looked good against a tough team.”
