With league leaders Poplar Boys not in action, Ainslie Wood closed the gap on the top two with a 4-2 win over second-placed Warren United.
Victory means Wood are three points behind Poplar, though they boast three games in hand.
Bottom side Aldborough Hatch beat Liberty Stars 2-1 to pick up their first win of the season.
Division One
Top-of-the-table Leyton Green extended their lead over the sides below them with a 4-2 win over Morfdown Elect.
Green have won all eight of their fixtures so far and sit six points clear of M & B Club in second place.
Fourth-placed Flanders eked out a 1-0 win at St Augustines to keep the pressure on the sides above them.
Matt Hunt got the game's only goal to leave Flanders three points off second.
Division Two
Table toppers Slaters Arms put ten past Masterman without reply.
That win means Arms are still three points clear of Chingford Athletic in second with a game in hand.
FC Mexico are hot on their tails in third after a 2-0 win at FC United of Hornchurch kept them in the title hunt.
They are five points off the summit but have one game in hand.
Elsewhere, a brace from Alex Benjamin gave Park Tavern a 3-2 win at Romford Galaxy. Jack Blackburn got the third.
Division Three
Leaders E4 Rangers slipped up as they drew 2-2 at Wanstead United to see their lead cut to two points.
Jason Branche and Charles Fabowale struck for Wanstead.
Fourth-placed Heathside picked up a point in a goalless draw at Westferry Elite which leaves them six points off the top.
Epping Forest Falcons overcame Goresbrook 3-2 whilst Alliance United trounced Central Colts 4-1.
Division One Cup
Valentines United crashed out with a heavy 9-2 loss at Barking.
Trophyland Cup
London Fire Brigade advanced with a routine 3-0 win at Napier.
Essex Sunday Premier Cup
EMWA were 5-2 winners over Purfleet Old Boys after extra-time whilst Shelby lost 8-1 at Global.
