A number of swimmers represented Epping Forest District Swimming Club at the East Region Championships held in Luton and Norwich, sealing a string of personal bests in the process.
Hannah Gillespie (17) came 11th in the 200m backstroke with a three second personal best time of 2.31.79, while Dora Zhou (15) was ninth in the 100m backstroke with a two second personal best of 1.12.22. She also came tenth in the 50m backstroke in 33.10.
Alfie Stride (12) swam magnificently to reach the final of the 100m freestyle with a two second personal best time of 1.07.85, also clinching ninth in the 50m freestyle in a time of 30.97 and 13th in the 200m freestyle.
Roisin Clifford (12) finished 16th in the 100m backstroke with a two second best time of 1.19.80 and 18th in the 100m butterfly in 1.20.38 and 50 back. Clifford also achieved new personal bests in the 50m butterfly and the 50m freestyle.
