Waltham Forest extended their unbeaten run to six matches after defeating Clapton 4-2 in Essex Senior League action on Tuesday night.
Jose Agua opened the scoring and he went on to complete a hat-trick in the second period. An own goal put Forest four goals in front before a late fightback saw Clapton grab two consolation goals.
On Saturday, Forest drew 2-2 with Southend Manor.
Agua was again on target but Southend took control of the contest and gained the upper hand.
However, a 96th-minute equaliser from James Ogunleye ensured the points were shared.
