Eton Manor maintained their 100 per cent record after a 27-14 bonus-point home win over Old Priorians in League One North on Saturday.

The hosts got off to a fast start as they took a 15-0 lead against Priorians mainly thanks to a penalty try.

Eton Manor’s dominance continued as their wing ran in under the posts which stretched their lead to 15-0.

The home side made it 22-0 before half-time but Old Priorians finally got on the scoresheet to give them hope heading into the second half.

The visitors made a game of it in the second half but left themselves with too much to do as Eton Manor’s impressive start to the season continued.

The side went into the match off the back of a commanding win at Barking and are the early pacesetters in the division.

Eton Manor will look to continue their winning run this weekend when they travel to Thurrock.

Chingford proved too strong for Thurrock on Saturday after earning a 29-15 home win.

The victory made it three wins from the opening four games for Chingford to continue their promising start to the season.

The team are on the road this weekend as they visit Ruislip in the league.

Chingford Thirds picked up a 31-7 win at Maldon.

Woodford suffered a 26-20 defeat at Ipswich in their latest league match on Saturday.

It was always going to be a big ask for the visitors as they travelled to a side unbeaten at home.

Ipswich were in a strong position before Craig Wilson received a red card for a dangerous tackle and another forward was shown a yellow card.

This helped Woodford edge into a 20-19 lead but the visitors could not hold on as a late Chris Kolapo-Ajala try defeated them.

Woodford are away again this weekend when they travel to Luton.

Woodford Thirds edged to a 42-36 home victory at the expense of Braintree Seconds.

Wanstead were victorious after winning 31-22 at Lowestoft & Yarmouth in London Three North East.

The result made it three wins in a row and leaves them at the top of the table.

Wanstead struck first when forward Nick Luxmore crashed over the line following a powerful move from the pack. But this was cancelled out when the hosts finished off an attack to score.

A key turning point took place when Chris Beard was shown a red card for the home side for a professional foul. Wanstead took advantage of this and established a 19-10 half-time lead.

Lowestoft scored again after the restart as they produced a spirited fightback despite being a man down, but Wanstead responded impressively as they crossed the line for an unconverted try.

The hosts scored again which reduced the deficit to 26-22 with 15 minutes remaining.

But Wanstead ended their opponents’ hopes of an unlikely fightback by scoring a late try from their winger to complete an entertaining win.

Wanstead’s next league game is at home to Harlow on October 11.

Wanstead Seconds defeated Upminster Thirds 26-19 in their Division Three clash on Saturday.

It was a welcome result for the side after narrow defeats in their previous two games.

Wanstead were facing another loss after trailing 19-12 with 15 minutes remaining but two tries including the winner from James Edrich turned the contest around.

League leaders Old Cooperians are up next as they are the visitors on October 11.

Wanstead Thirds claimed their first home win of the season after thrashing Old Coops Thirds 46-3 in Division Seven.

The star performer was 17-year-old Chad Harris as he scored four tries to fire Wanstead to victory.
