LOUGHTON: Controversial comic writer to discuss her work

A CONTROVERSIAL comic writer and TV personality will be discussing her latest novel early next month.

Australian author Kathy Lette will be talking about her latest novel, The Boy Who Fell to Earth, as part of the Essex Book Festival in Loughton Library, Trapps Hill, on March 7 at 7pm.

Tickets for the event cost £7, or £5 with concessions, and can be booked by calling 01206 573948.

Lette made her name with the coming-of-age tale Puberty Blues in 1979.

Her novel Mad Cows was made in to a film starring Anna Friel and Joanna Lumley in 1996.
