BUS STRIKES are affecting several routes in east London across the Bank Holiday weekend.

The 24-hour strike is hitting buses across Chingford, Leyton, Walthamstow and Leytonstone, beginning at 12am today (August 26).

Another 24-hour strike is taking place on Monday (August 29) as TfL workers protest late changes made to rosters leaving union members “out of pocket”.

Unite's regional officer Simon McCartney said: “Tower Transit bus workers have reached breaking point over an increasingly belligerent management who have turned their back on constructive consultation and dialogue."

The 444 and 212 buses to Chingford, 58 to Walthamstow, 339 from Leytonstone, W14 in Leyton and the 308 from Wanstead, can all expect disruption.

Passengers can find up-to-date information on the TfL’s buses section.
