Physics students went behind the scenes at a hospital to learn more about x-rays, CT scans and nuclear medicine.
The A-level students from Chigwell School visited Queen’s Hospital earlier this month (June 16) to learn more as part of the medical physics section of their course.
It was the third annual visit arranged between the school and Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs the hospital.
Bryan Porter, Chigwell School’s head of physics, said: “Practical demonstration like this are something we can’t do, so it really brings it to life for them.
“It helps them to see the basics of what they’re learning in the classroom.”
