NURSERY children as young as eight-months took part in their own art exhibition earlier this month.

All 70 under-fives at Zeeba Nursery in Draycot Road, Wanstead showcased the best of their artistic abilities as part of the nursery’s first annual art exhibition.

Parents, carers and staff popped in before and after nursery from June 13 to 17 to see what “fantastic” artwork their children had produced.

Nursery manager Izette Brand said: “It was our first ever art exhibition and it went really, really well.

“The parents were very impressed by the children’s work, particularly the younger ones, who are as small as eight-months-old.

“It was all about giving them the opportunity to be creative and do things exactly how they wanted - they love getting messy so they all really enjoyed themselves.

“A big thank you to Ms Tegan and Ms Anne Marie for organising such a fantastic exhibition. We're already looking forward to next year's event.”

The nursery has also raised £60 for Great Ormond Street children’s hospital in central London, after parents offered donations to congratulation the youngsters on their work.
