THE sister of The Only Way is Essex star James Argent will hand back her London Marathon medal after being accused of cheating.

Natasha Argent, of Woodland Way, Woodford Green, claimed she completed the 26.2 miles in three hours and 44 minutes.

But it was soon noticed she had appeared to run the second half faster than elite athletes.

Her results will also be wiped from the official London Marathon website.

Hugh Brasher, event director, said: “Our results team has been in touch with Natasha Argent, along with a small number of other runners, to request an explanation for missing the split times in her results.

“At her request, we have removed her results from the system and she will be returning her finishers medal to us.”

On Virgin Money’s London Marathon website, the 28-year-old’s times for the 25, 30, and 35km checkpoints are missing.

The data also implies she ran the second half of the race in under 50 minutes, which is a pace of three minutes and 52 seconds a mile.

On Sunday, James congratulated his sister on her time in a tweet that has since been deleted.

A representative from her her nominated charity, London Youth, said the discrepancies were being investigated.

Natasha Argent declined to comment when contacted this week.
