Traffic in South Woodford near the A406 and M11 interchange this morning.
The A406 North Circular eastbound has opened again after investigation work into an earlier accident cleared.
The road was closed for over seven hours between the M11 junction at Charlie Brown's Roundabout in South Woodford and A12 junction at Redbridge Roundabout in Gants Hill after a car crash earlier this morning.
Police and the London Ambulance Service were called to a one-car crash at around 4.30am.
An air ambulance took one of the men in the car to a major trauma centre, while the other was driven to hospital as a matter of priority.
Delays stretching back as far as Chingford, Walthamstow, Snaresbrook and Woodford have now cleared.
