A host of famous faces helped raise £89,000 at last night’s annual Autumn Ball for Haven House Children’s Hospice.

TV presenter and Heart Radio DJ Mark Wright, a Haven House ambassador, hosted the ball and attended with his wife, actress and model Michelle Keegan at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane.

Richard Arnold was the auctioneer on the night and entertained guests including Barry Hearn, TV personality Michelle Heaton, the late Amy Winehouse’s father Mitch Winehouse and model Casey Batchelor.

Prized lots which went under the hammer included a one-week stay for 10 guests at the illustrious Azzurra Castle on Grenada in the West Indies, sold for £7,000 and the use of an eight-seater private jet flying to a European destination of choice, attracting £10,000.

Mike Palfreman, chief executive of Haven House Children’s Hospice, said:

“This year’s ball was even bigger than last year and we’re delighted to have raised such a fantastic amount.

“Everyone in the room was there to have a good time, but most importantly to support local life-limited children and their families.

“It was brilliant to see so many celebrities who are clearly committed to the cause and I would like to thank all of our guests for their exceptional generosity.”

Mark Wright, Haven House Celebrity Ambassador, added: “I was delighted to host the Autumn Ball.

“Haven House does amazing work in supporting life-limited children and it was brilliant to help raise vital funds on the night.”
