A pre- and post-natal exercise instructor has said she is “thrilled” to become a finalist for a national award.
Karen Laing of Epping-based fitness business Fit School has made it to the final stage of the What’s on 4 Little Ones awards, which is only voted on by recent mothers.
Mrs Laing has been nominated in the best pre- and post-natal activity category for her private and group classes that she has run for over eight years.
She said: “It is great for me to know that women are getting the right information to look after their health and bodies.
“Watching women progress after birth and get back into the swing of regular exercise is so rewarding.”
She added: “When you work for yourself you don't get appraisals or pats on the back from your boss, you are the boss, so getting shortlisted for a national award is something like a pat on the back.”
The award ceremony will be held on June 19 in Drayton Manor, Staffordshire.
