A house boat moored at a luxury marina was set on fire for the second time this week.

Firefighters tackled a fire involving the diesel tank on the boat in Roydon Marina in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Two fire crews extinguished the fire on the 15-metre vessel by 1.30am.

There was a fire on the same boat in the early hours of Monday morning. No one was on the boat at the time of each blaze.

Initial investigations have concluded that the fires were started deliberately.

Roydon Marina Village is an exclusive holiday resort that can accomodate more than 300 private boats, located on the River Stort.

It is currently undergoing a £10million redevelopment.
