The trial of a man accused of stealing from a pie and mash shop has been postponed.
Duval Daly, 49, of Longcroft Drive in Waltham Cross, is alleged to have stolen a charity box and bag containing £2,300 as well as an engagement ring and wallet to the value of £7,000.
The theft took place at Tony's Pie & Mash Shop in Sun Street, Waltham Abbey on May 12.
Mr Daly was also charged with possession of 0.2g of Cocaine in Harlow on the same date.
After not entering a plea he was bailed until a hearing on August 26, however the case was adjorned for further enquiries relating to details of the allegations.
Mr Daly will appear for the trial and case management hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on September 9.
